Another area Expedite have been able to add value and create cost downs, is with starter packs of paper to be shipped with new machines.

Previously, mid range machines in Europe would be supplied with two reams of A4 paper and one ream of A3. This proved to be very costly.

To overcome this cost, we worked with the Product Managers and Marketing Group to create a new paper pack which would economically fulfill the requirements of end users. The new packs consist of 200 A4 sheets and 100 A3 sheets. Our production staff, in Weston super Mare collate the two paper sizes and produce a pack that is wax wrapped and carries all the marketing messages of the original reams.

This process alone has saved copier and printer manufactures in excess of $400,000 per annum, whilst the end user still receives a professionally finished product.

The specifications for our paper packs have since been used to implement a similar scheme in the United States.

Meanwhile, we continue to develop new packs and look for further cost downs to enable the manufacturers, we work with, to stay competitive in the marketplace.
